Insect Photography

In the insects range in length from less than 1 mm to over 100 mm. To be able to get decent images of insects with different dimensions it is recommendable to have various lenses and accessories. In this website we describe photographic equipment used for different techniques to optimize insect photography.

Insect photography requires techniques and equipment that fall in the general categories of close-up and macrophotography. To photograph a few very tiny and soft-bodied insects, techniques in microphotography are required.

The types of images that we publish and offer fall into the following categories: Live insects in their environment, live insects in captivity and preserved mounted insects in insect collections.
